Hosanna!

Hi I'm Dj... you can call me Dorothy too haha :) This is my blog for the Lord. It's named hosanna in the highest simply coz it comes from my favorite song :)

I am a follower of Jesus. A sinner saved by grace. A woman made holy and righteous by the blood of my Savior.

I love photography (though i'm just starting out), I love music and serve as a worship leader in our church. I love sunsets and stars. And I am forever amazed by the beauty that the Lord has made.

This blog is both a means of expression and a ministry to encourage. I hope you are blessed :) Praise be to God alone :)

“You can’t aim for a target unless you’ve identified it.” -Andy Stanley Sometimes we live without living. We shoot without aiming. We go about our lives without even thinking about where we wanna go or what we wanna do. It is important that we live a life or purpose and direction. You can’t just take each day with a “Go-with-the-flow-attitude.” You can’t just wake up and say “Okay i’ll just do whatever happens today.” To follow God is to follow WITH INTENTION. You do not simply just drift towards Christlikeness. It requires that we pursue a life for God. It requires that we “strain towards the prize.” But before we can even go in any direction, we must FIRST identify which way we want to go. If you want to know what God’s will is for you then you have to intently spend time in fellowship with Him, walking closely to Him, so you can hear Him clearly.  If you know what job you want to have when you graduate then you intentionally study a course related to that field, and you intentionally study hard, and you intentionally develop skills that are needed in that sort of career. If you want to marry a certain someone, you intentionally get to know her, you intentionally spend time with her, you intentionally meet her family, you intentionally pray for God’s leading. Before going anywhere, stop first and determine where you want to head.
