Hosanna!

Hi I'm Dj... you can call me Dorothy too haha :) This is my blog for the Lord. It's named hosanna in the highest simply coz it comes from my favorite song :)

I am a follower of Jesus. A sinner saved by grace. A woman made holy and righteous by the blood of my Savior.

I love photography (though i'm just starting out), I love music and serve as a worship leader in our church. I love sunsets and stars. And I am forever amazed by the beauty that the Lord has made.

This blog is both a means of expression and a ministry to encourage. I hope you are blessed :) Praise be to God alone :)

Living a life for God is simply living a life with a personal relationship with God. :) Just like how you would live to build an earthly relationship so is it with the Lord.

To live a life for God it is crucial to build intimacy with Him.

Spend TIME with Him through daily devotions, Bible reading, prayer, or even in doing normal chores do it as unto the Lord (Col 3:23,Eph 6:7, 1 Cor10:31, Col 3:17,1 Peter 4:11)

Secondly, COMMUNICATE with Him DAILY. Communication keeps a relationship alive. Prayer isn’t just about presenting our requests to God, it is for the growth of our relationship with Him. Our prayers could be praises and thanksgiving, it could even be our raw real heart that just wants to rant, or it could be a broken spirit crying out for help to the Lord…it can consists of the most trivial things, to big decisions in life. It’s like telling our best friend everything… even if God knows everything, it’s another thing to tell Him and go to Him in prayer. 

Thirdly, to live a life of God is to live in a life of OBEDIENCE. It’s one thing to know all these Biblical truths, but if i do not apply it in my life it values nothing. Many people know God in their minds, but not in their hearts. 

Fourthly, living a life for God is using the gifts He’s given you for Him. God has given me the gift of music, and I use it to serve Him. God may have given you the gift of mercy—-then use it accordingly FOR GOD. It’s one thing to use your gift for yourself…and it’s another to actually use it for God (example using music as a means to popularity and fame rather than using it to minister to people.)

In closing… to life a life for God is to FOLLOW GOD, WHEREVER HE MAY LEAD YOU. It is not simply following Jesus when it is convenient, it may require you to step out of your comfort zones..but because of YOUR LOVE FOR HIM, YOU WILL BE WILLING TO GO WHEREVER HE CALLS YOU TO GO :)
