Jeremiah-A man of faith! (Reblog and tell the world of God’s faithfulness)

“This is a story of a man of faith.”

Three years ago Jeremiah Medalla was diagnosed to have bone cancer. As a result his left leg had to be amputated. Things got worse and one of his lung collapsed which made breathing extremely difficult for him. Soon his kidneys began to fail, and breathing became extremely difficult as around only 1/4 of his other lung was functioning.

God told me to visit him soon, along with that God told me to write a song for him. and by God’s grace it was done overnight, the Spirit was truly moving. We visited him around 5:30pm May 29, 2011. He looked weaker than how he looked in pictures. Jeremiah was really weak physically, but his spirit was ever so alive to keep fighting.

The most amazing thing about Jeremiah is his faith in God. Never ever did he question or blame God for his sickness. Instead of choosing to resent God, he chose to grow in love even more with the Lord. I am a worship leader in our church, yet Jeremiah taught me the essence of worship.

During my first and last visit we sung praises and every time the music team visited to worship with him he always had the strength to worship. No circumstance was too painful to keep him from giving God what was rightly His. Jeremiah demonstrated real worship. Worship that was not dependent on circumstances. Worship that praised God for who He is and what He has done, even when in times of testing and trials.

After I sung the song God gave, Jeremiah went to rest. Then he couldn’t breathe, so we rushed him to the hospital. As I quickly tried to pack my guitar his mom said “I think this is it. I am at peace.”

Around 8:00 in the morning, Jeremiah went to home to his Maker. There we know he is no longer in any pain. He is in heaven, enjoying the presence of God and waiting for us to one day join him.

Jeremiah fought the good fight. Jeremiah trusted God in times of uncertainties. Jeremiah worshipped God at the moment of his greatest trial. Jeremiah loved God despite his sickness. The most beautiful thing is he exited this world praising and worshipping God… and when he got back home the heavens rejoiced.
