Anonymous asked: Hi, i live in chinatown manila and sometimes it's hard to share the faith because of the conservative culture here. Any experience sharing the gospel to a chinese friend? am also curious if you are chinese (half? full?) and can you speak chinese?
Haha i am 5/8 Chinese, and sadly I can’t speak Chinese. My mom grew up in a Buddhist Family but God made a way for someone to share the gospel to her. I used to be part of a Chinese Org back in College and I did share my faith, but often times others made fun of me, whenever I would drop by the tambayan one would exclaim “PRAISE GOD!” in a mocking voice, or say they will burn if they touch me hahah. It’s been hard at times, but you have to learn to be firm in what you believe but always remembering to be gentle with how you deal with the people :) It is only our job to share and we leave the results to the Holy Spirit. And sometimes our lives are the best way to share the gospel by the testimony we live, we may be laughed at at times, but in the end they will always know that something is different with us, and in God’s time they will want to know and want to be like us as well. :)
