Hosanna!

Hi I'm Dj... you can call me Dorothy too haha :) This is my blog for the Lord. It's named hosanna in the highest simply coz it comes from my favorite song :)

I am a follower of Jesus. A sinner saved by grace. A woman made holy and righteous by the blood of my Savior.

I love photography (though i'm just starting out), I love music and serve as a worship leader in our church. I love sunsets and stars. And I am forever amazed by the beauty that the Lord has made.

This blog is both a means of expression and a ministry to encourage. I hope you are blessed :) Praise be to God alone :)

Disclaimer: The Bible is the Truth. I love to write notes, however I CHALLENGE YOU first to test and approve even the things I write here. Also understand that there is a difference between EXPLICIT BIBLICAL TRUTH from a personal conviction or application of the truth.

Random Realizations on Trials

*disclaimer: long-overdue-random-realization*

In the beginning of the book of Job is the scene where God tells Satan about Job, “there is no one like him on earth, he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil” (Job 1:8)

What I want to stress here is God’s amazing faith in man.

Many times we consider it something great for man to have faith in God, yet I find it more amazing that God has faith in man. Beings so sinful, so imperfect—-yet someone God chooses to believe in. It’s just mind blowing.

Indeed 1 Corinthians 10:13 speaks so powerfully about it. “…and God is faithful, He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.”

God has faith in us that we can overcome out current trials. Many times it seems hopeless and impossible, and that the easy way out is to do the wrong thing. Yet God—-this HOLY PERFECT RIGHTEOUS Being believes in us unfaithful, messed up, sinful, imperfect beings. That’s right. GOD BELIEVES YOU CAN DO IT! And that’s why He allows you to go through it.

If God knew something was too great a trial for you He wouldn’t allow it to happen. And if you think your problems are bigger than others then you SHOULD rejoice because God has entrusted to you with bigger responsibilities.

No wonder James said to consider it pure joy whenever faced with trials of many kinds. You see trials are not just “Growing ground” but a constant reminder of God’s faith in us to overcome :)
