You only live once, so make the most out of it and live for what’s eternal!

Have you ever experienced having a friend, and seeing your friend make wrong decisions. Yet you do all you can in your power to give that friend the right advice. But no matter what you do or say, at the end of the day it’s still up to your friend to decide.

I guess I know how God feels now. To see us make wrong choices, to have the Holy Spirit convict us of our actions, to have His Word to instruct our ways… yet we still choose what is wrong.

It hurts a lot, and it’s really frustrating. You’re not angry with the person but you’re upset with their choices. You wish you could decide for them, but because of free will you can’t do a thing but hope that they listen to you.

This situation has made me realize the heart of God, how He longs for us. How He longs that we do what is right, and how His heart breaks when we go down the wrong path. How His anger is kindled by the things that lead us astray, and by how much He hates sin. At that even if we make mistakes, He will always be there to love us despite it all.

Indeed we are so blessed to have a Father who loves extravagantly.

One thing I’ve learned is that God doesn’t always work on our time table. In fact, He rarely does. But, in a single moment, God can change your life! All throughout scripture, we see examples of how God was working behind the scenes and instantly turned things around for His people. Scripture tells us He is the same yesterday, today and forever which means if He did it for them, He can instantly turn things around for you, too!

You may be going through some difficulty today, but be encouraged because your times are in God’s hands. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. He wants to pour out His favor. He wants to take you further than you dreamed possible and work in your life in ways beyond what you have ever imagined.

Let this truth sink down into your heart today. Resist discouragement by speaking His Word over your future. Keep standing, keep hoping and keep believing because He is working behind the scenes. Have faith because your times are in His hands, and He will lead you in the life of victory He has for you!

A Prayer for Today

Father, today I humbly come before You giving You all that I am. I trust that my times are in Your hands. I trust that You are working things out in my favor. I set my focus on You knowing that You are working things out for my good in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Hi :) thanks for this. Yes, God is indeed amazing and His plans and timing are always perfect. But it requires faith indeed :) When I look back at how things were before we met, I’m amazed with how we ended up together. God is good :)
