Psalm 103:1-5. Let us bless the Lord for the many wondrous things He has done (Taken with instagram)
A great leader had just passed away. A great nation was in need of guidance. And a great task was at hand. Imagine the pressure Joshua had to face when God called him to step up to be the next Moses. Leading a stiff neck bunch of people was no easy task, much more to conquer a vast land.
It’s no wonder God repeated Himself 3x to Joshua saying BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. (Joshua 1:6,7,9)
In the third time, God assured Joshua that “the Lord your God is WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.” And that was all he needed. And that is all WE need.
Sometimes we find ourselves in Joshua’s shoes. Unsure of where to go, what to do, and how to go about it. Filled with doubts if we can even succeed with it. Yet God’s promises remains the same for us, that He is WITH us wherever we go.
But also I need to stress on verse 7. Here God commands Joshua to be sure to obey His commands and the result of his obedience would be success wherever he would go. It goes the same with us. Yes God will always be with us, but He cannot bless us if we continue to disobey. Trusting God requires obedience to God. And it continues in verse 8, The Book of the Law shall NOT depart from your mouth but you shall MEDITATE on it day and night, so that you may be CAREFUL to do according to ALL that is written in it.
To know what God wants you have to read His Word. It’s all in the Bible. Know what God is saying, and obey His Word. Abide in the Lord and He will abide in you and give you success in all that you do.

I think this shall be my year verse. 1 Corinthians 15:58 (Taken with instagram)
One of the hardest part in one’s life is when they realize they’ve ceased to grow. Lately frustrations have tumbled upon me, and distractions along the way have taken my eyes off what is really necessary. And it hurts more to look back and see that you’ve drifted away from God slowly cause you failed to do your part.
But my assurance and hope is in the fact that God is a God of many chances. A God of grace, a God of faithfulness, a God of love. A God who is fiercely in love with me, a God who keeps pursuing me, a God who will never let me go.
If you feel like you’re too far to get back on track, don’t. No one is ever too far to be reached by God’s amazing grace. At the end of the day it will always boil down to a choice. A choice that has to be made by you. A choice that I have to make. To stand up, and keep moving forward. A choice not to dwell on past mistakes. A choice not to believe lies that God does not want me anymore. A choice to follow Christ, no matter the cost.
It’s not always easy… but it’s definitely worth it.
